Endearing Care

Community Participation

Connection, purpose, and belonging are not extras they are essentials.

Living with disability should never mean living in isolation. Our Community Participation service supports you to get out, engage, and experience life on your own terms whether that’s catching up with friends, attending appointments, joining a class, volunteering, or simply exploring your neighbourhood with confidence.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything we do is rooted in three simple but powerful commitments.

Who is this service for?

This service is for NDIS participants of any age — children, young people, and adults — who have funding for Social, Community and Civic Participation under Core Supports in their NDIS plan. We support participants who are NDIA-managed, plan-managed, and self-managed, including people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and those with physical, intellectual, and psychosocial disabilities.

The short answer — almost anything that is safe, legal, and meaningful to you. Past activities our participants have enjoyed include visits to markets, libraries, and cafés; sporting events and recreational classes; medical and therapy appointments; church and cultural community events; TAFE enrolment and attendance; volunteering; and everyday outings like shopping or going to the beach. If you have something specific in mind, ask us — we’ll do our best to make it happen.

Absolutely. We support children and young people to participate in age-appropriate social activities, school holiday programs, community events, and recreational activities. For younger participants, we work closely with families to ensure all outings are safe, purposeful, and aligned with the goals in their NDIS plan.
